JOB TITLE: Project Management & Planning OperationsLOCATION: Ocala, FLPAY RATE: $62.26/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Summary:
Build and maintain detailed Microsoft Project schedules (tasks, dependencies, milestones)
Track resources by skill type and/or individual engineer; monitor planned vs. actual effort
Conduct regular schedule reviews and ask targeted questions to identify risks or gaps
Identify resource conflicts (overbooking, skill gaps, competing priorities) and escalate appropriately
Monitor cost performance and flag variances early
Prepare concise status dashboards (Gantt charts, risk registers) for leadership
Summarize project health (schedule, cost, quality, risk) in executive-ready updates
Act as a central point of coordination between PMO, planning, production, and leadership
Capture lessons learned related to scheduling and resource tracking
Support and coach junior engineers on effective Microsoft Project usage and status reporting
Requirements:
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Project
3+ years of project management experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP Certification
Experience in a manufacturing environment
