Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the safe execution of a portion of a single mega project or a portfolio of several smaller projects by adhering to project management guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure programs and projects are delivered on time and within budget. Accountable for project life cycle management, including accurate budgeting and forecasting, combined with effective planning and execution. This position relies on capable, integrated leadership skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with stakeholders, including engineering, project controls, supply chain, environmental, regulatory, strategy, internal engineering, external engineers, accounting, operations, contractors and more.
The Project Manager will be a proactive leader who integrates and collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Highly developed organizational leadership, communication, and technical skills are required. This position will report to an organization that is primarily focused on the execution of new generation projects, but this group also executes other large, complex projects such as synchronous condensers.
Essential Functions
Establishes effective scope, schedule, and cost baselines and change management to measure progress against plans and identify when corrective actions are needed
Safe/efficient high-quality construction work that complies with policies, practices, and standards
Collaboration between project managers, project specialists, and contract construction inspectors
Provides construction support for all internal/external customers
Completes construction projects which meet customer expectations and budget requirements
Promotes relationships with external municipalities and local authorities
Timely and accurate invoice payments
Effective team relationships throughout field and State staff functions
Project success is based on the ability to complete all projects in a safe, reliable manner, within 5% of the cost estimate, on time and with no significant regulatory notices, violations, or citations
Monitors and communicates progress of projects related to capital spends and projected spends, project status updates, inspector schedules, and land services requirements
Required Qualifications For Position
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or other related field of study or equivalent experience (total 9 years of experience)
4-6 years 5+ years’ experience managing construction related projects
4-6 years 3+ years’ experience working with pipeline construction contractors
4-6 years 3+ years’ experience working with project budgets
Knowledge of gas system design and operations including gas flow, construction, contracts, and emergency response.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal operating codes and construction codes
Proficiency with personal computers, construction scheduling software, Microsoft Excel, Power Point Presentations, and other computer software related to pipeline construction project management
Working knowledge of operations support systems, i.e. WMS, etc.
DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Upon Hire
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI Upon Hire

Salary Range*:
$93,800.00 - $165,300.00*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to thecandidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
