Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Utility / Commercial Civil Construction3 Forks ServicesLocation: Williston, NDEmployment Type: Full-TimePay: DOE — Based on Experience ($120,000+)About 3 Forks Services3 Forks Services is hiring an experienced and dependable Project Manager to oversee heavy civil, utility, and commercial civil construction projects in the Williston, ND area.We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects from start to finish, manage schedules and crews, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, and make sure work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to company standards.The right candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment where communication, accountability, and problem-solving matter every day.⸻Position OverviewThe Project Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day project operations for heavy civil, underground utility, site development, and commercial civil construction projects.This position requires strong leadership, field coordination, planning, and communication skills. The Project Manager will work closely with company leadership, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, engineers, and customers to keep projects moving and ensure successful completion.⸻Key ResponsibilitiesManage heavy civil, utility, and commercial civil construction projects from start to finishCoordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, materials, and schedulesReview plans, specifications, scopes of work, schedules, and project documentsTrack project progress, production, costs, change orders, and deadlinesCommunicate regularly with owners, customers, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teamsConduct project site visits and coordinate daily or weekly field needsIdentify potential issues early and help resolve problems that may affect schedule, budget, safety, or qualityAssist with project planning, sequencing, and resource allocationMaintain accurate documentation, including daily updates, project notes, photos, RFIs, change orders, and reportsEnsure work is completed according to plans, specifications, company standards, and customer expectationsPromote and enforce jobsite safety, company policies, and quality standardsSupport estimating, bidding, scheduling, and closeout processes as needed⸻Project Types May IncludeHeavy civil constructionUnderground utilitiesWater, sewer, storm, and drainage systemsCommercial site developmentEarthwork and gradingRoadway and access workExcavation and backfillUtility infrastructureConcrete, aggregate, and general civil scopes⸻QualificationsPrevious project management experience in heavy civil, utility, commercial civil, or related construction requiredStrong understanding of civil construction operations, sequencing, and field coordinationAbility to read and understand plans, specifications, scopes, and project documentsExperience coordinating crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and materialsStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and prioritiesExperience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and project documentation preferredBasic computer skills requiredExperience with construction software, scheduling tools, Bluebeam, Procore, HCSS, Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar programs is a plusValid driver's license requiredMust be dependable, professional, safety-minded, and able to work independently⸻Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is someone who:Has real-world civil construction experienceTakes ownership and follows throughCan lead field teams and coordinate moving partsCommunicates clearly with crews, customers, inspectors, and leadershipUnderstands the importance of safety, production, quality, and scheduleCan solve problems quickly and professionallyIs comfortable working in the Williston, ND area and surrounding job sitesWants to grow with a company that values hard work and accountability
