Job Description

Project Manager (Landscaping)

Company Overview

4 Seasons Landscaping specializes in high-end landscape installations and maintenance, transforming outdoor spaces across Montana. We are a growing company built on professionalism, teamwork, and delivering outstanding results.

We value humility, results, excellence of character, and continuous improvement. Our teams take pride in a customer-focused approach, strong craftsmanship, and a collaborative, hardworking culture.

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager at 4 Seasons Landscaping, you will take ownership of multiple landscaping projects from planning through completion. You will coordinate people, materials, and schedules to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a key leadership role with direct impact on customer satisfaction and company growth. You will mentor Crew Leads, refine our processes, and help shape how we deliver work as we continue to expand across Montana.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all phases of assigned landscaping projects from kickoff through final walkthrough.
  • Lead and mentor Crew Leads and field teams, providing hands-on support, clear expectations, and real-time coaching.
  • Manage project budgets by tracking labor, materials, and expenses to ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Supervise on-site operations to ensure all work meets company standards, client expectations, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate material procurement and logistics so crews have the equipment and supplies they need when they need them.
  • Enforce safety regulations, conduct regular safety audits, and promote a strong safety culture on every job site.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field, make decisions quickly, and adjust plans to keep projects on schedule.
  • Track project performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and report progress to senior management.
  • Collaborate with office staff on scheduling, invoicing, and job documentation to ensure accurate, timely paperwork.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve processes across projects.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within your first 6–12 months, you consistently deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Crews under your leadership are organized, productive, and clear on priorities, resulting in fewer delays and rework.
  • Clients express confidence in your communication and follow-through, leading to repeat business and positive feedback.
  • Project documentation, time tracking, and reporting are accurate and up to date, supporting smooth invoicing and job costing.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven project management experience in landscaping or construction (minimum 1 year), with strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to guide Crew Leads and field teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints, and to manage budgets and costs effectively.
  • Strong communication and client management skills, with proficiency in project management software (LMN experience is a plus).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel between job sites.
  • Experience with estimating and bidding, relevant certifications in project management or landscape construction, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are all pluses.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate at $30–$40+, or salary based on experience.
  • Paid time off and holiday benefits.
  • Full-time position.
  • Flexible hours based on project demands.
