Job Summary
We're hiring a seasoned Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and closeout of heavy civil projects from our Castleton, NY office with travel to active sites (Syracuse, Goshen, Gilboa). You'll own budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, and stakeholder communication to deliver projects on time and on budget. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in high-impact infrastructure work. Location: Castleton, NY (office + field).

Our projects, varying from $1 million to over $200 million, underscore our ability to deliver expertly constructed projects on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full project lifecycle: scope validation, procurement support, scheduling, cost control, execution, and closeout to achieve budget and schedule targets.
- Prepare, maintain, and report project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cash-flow projections to stakeholders.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients; resolve field issues to minimize schedule/cost impact.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NY DOT (where applicable), Army Corps standards, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Drive quality assurance and site inspections; close punch lists and ensure deliverable acceptance.
- Use construction management tools to track KPIs (cost variance, schedule adherence, safety metrics) and produce clear stakeholder reports.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Solid experience in managing large civil/heavy-construction projects (projects $1M+).
- Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary field teams and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of construction schedules, estimating, cost control, and safety practices.
- Familiarity with construction management and scheduling/cost-control tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
Preferred:
- P.E. license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with heavy highway, landfill, reinforced concrete, dam, or flood-control projects.
- Prior work with NY DOT, Army Corps, or large municipal/state contracts.
