Job SummaryThe Drawback Project Manager is responsible for managing duty drawback client accounts while overseeing execution, compliance, and service delivery. This role requires strong knowledge of duty drawback regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage client relationships and account implementations.This position relies heavily on project management skills to track action items, manage timelines, and coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure all required data and documentation is collected, reviewed, and submitted on time. The Drawback Project Manager also provides oversight and guidance to assigned analysts to ensure accurate and timely completion of work.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccount & Project Management
- Utilize Wrike our project management software and Microsoft tools to plan, track, and manage duty drawback projects for assigned client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and owning overall project execution and account outcomes.
- Lead and support the implementation of new client accounts, including on-boarding, program setup, and process alignment.
- Independently monitor, manage, and resolve action items for ongoing accounts to ensure deadlines, compliance, and client expectations are consistently met.
- Support cross-functional teams by coordinating data preparation, testing, and validation within internal systems.
- Partner with and support the analytics team to achieve revenue, recovery, and performance targets for assigned accounts.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulations and compliance requirements for filing under all duty drawback claim provisions.
- Manage collection of document and records from various sources to support compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the analytics team in ensuring all general and client-specific SOPs are reviewed, maintained, and updated as needed.
- Lead and facilitate client meetings with confidence, managing all aspects of communication, documentation, follow-up, and project coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for gathering required documentation and data, while proactively managing client expectations.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, internal teams, and government agencies.
- Respond to all correspondence in a thorough, accurate, concise, and timely manner.
- Participate in annual account reviews with clients to evaluate compliance, performance, and opportunities to maximize drawback recovery.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five (3–5) years of relevant experience in project management, trade compliance, customs, duty drawback, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Trade compliance or U.S. duty drawback regulations is a plus; training will be provided for candidates with strong project management skills who are new to drawback.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret analytical charts, tables, and data outputs.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage timelines, work independently, and drive projects to completion.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other project tracking tools.
- Willingness to grow in a fast-paced, global work environment.
- Salary starting at $70,000-$100,000 annually for 3-5+ year experience
