Job Description
We are looking for a Construction Project Manager with strong estimating experience to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role combines project management and estimating responsibilities, ensuring accurate budgeting, efficient execution, and successful delivery. The position works closely with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to maintain quality, schedule, and financial performance. This is a strong fit for someone who understands both the numbers and the field, and can lead projects from bid to closeout.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and budgets based on plans and specifications
- Review drawings and project documents to identify scope, risks, and pricing considerations
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient execution
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Track project costs and production to ensure profitability and financial performance
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to provide project updates and resolve issues
- Support bidding efforts and preconstruction planning for upcoming projects
Requirements
5+ years of experience in construction project management and/or estimating
Experience with commercial construction projects, including ground-up and renovations
Strong ability to perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates
Proficiency in construction management and estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field operations
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
