Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven professional to serve as a Remote Project Manager / Plant Manager / General Manager . This unique leadership position oversees strategic projects, operational performance, and team coordination across one or more production facilities or business units. The ideal candidate has experience in plant or operations management, project leadership, and cross-functional team oversight — all while operating effectively in a remote or hybrid setup.

Key Responsibilities: Project Management:
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects from planning through execution and delivery

  • Define scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables aligned with company goals

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure on-time, within-budget outcomes

  • Coordinate with remote teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive initiatives forward

Plant/Operations Management:
  • Oversee remote monitoring and performance metrics of plant operations or production lines

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards

  • Identify process improvements and lead remote problem-solving initiatives

  • Communicate regularly with on-site supervisors or plant leads to review KPIs and workflow

General Management:
  • Lead operational strategy, budgeting, and business planning

  • Manage remote and on-site team leaders, fostering a high-performance culture

  • Report directly to executive leadership on business performance and goals

  • Develop and implement systems and policies for remote operations oversight

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in plant management, general management, or project management

  • Strong understanding of operational metrics, Lean/Six Sigma, and manufacturing workflows

  • Proven leadership experience with remote teams or multi-location environments

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, Slack)

  • Ability to travel occasionally if necessary (plant visits, executive meetings)

Preferred Skills:
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean certification

  • Experience managing remote production or logistics operations

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite)

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills

  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities a plus
