Job Description
Global Financial Firm located in NEW YORK, NY has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Project Manager
Pay Rate: $84.00 - $89.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience
Work Mode: Hybrid
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of a system replacement project, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Facilitate Agile and Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and user stories.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Prepare and maintain progress reports, tracking project metrics against milestones.
- Enforce robust project management practices and ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum standards.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and promote open communication.
- Ensure all project deliverables adhere to corporate compliance and regulatory policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of professional project management experience in a financial services or regulated environment.
- Proven track record of leading system replacement or software migration projects.
- Deep practical knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Visio, and MS Office applications.
- Bachelor’s/University degree required.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred.
- Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP, or Safe) are highly desirable.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- AI knowledge and practical experience highly desired.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
- Master’s degree preferred.
