Job Description
Pay Rate: $60 - $80 per hour, W2 ONLY
Summary:
- Duration: 12 Month Contract
- Work Mode: Hybrid (2-3 days in office per week)
- Location: 2 positions in Greenville, SC; 1 position in Schenectady, NY
- Working Hours: 8am- 5pm, Monday- Friday
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical project management and direction, and coordinate engineering activities.
- Act as a technical liaison for customers and EPC representatives.
- Ensure design documentation and equipment comply with contract requirements.
- Lead coordination with customers, EPCs, Project Management, and multiple engineering organizations.
- Drive lessons learned back into design engineering organizations.
- Conduct Customer Kick-Off Meetings and Design Liaison Meetings.
- Review contract documentation and communicate project requirements.
- Evaluate financial/schedule impacts of customer-requested scope changes.
- Support resolution of cross-functional design complexities and technical issues.
- Manage the Engineering Budget and provide quarterly Estimate at Completions (EACs) to Finance.
- Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation personnel.
- Present project issue resolutions to upper management, highlighting risks and creating action plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a high school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering.
- Ability and willingness to travel, as required ~10% - 15%.
- Ability and willingness to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Leadership-quality communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Customer-facing experience.
- Experience with GTCC – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
- Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving capability.
- Experience and/or knowledge of plant system design engineering, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and/or testing.
- Continuous process improvement mindset.
