Job Description
PMO Project ManagerLocation: Remote (NYC Metro area preferred)Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time NOTE: We are unable to consider Third-Party candidates for this position.
We are seeking a Project Manager with strong healthcare experience to lead and govern complex, enterprise-level initiatives within a health insurance environment. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of large-scale projects ($1M+ budgets) while ensuring alignment to PMO standards, governance frameworks, and enterprise portfolio priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of enterprise healthcare projects through PMO governance standards
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, budgets ($1M+), schedules, and resource allocations
- Ensure adherence to PMO processes, reporting standards, and project controls
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests across complex environments
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and business/IT stakeholders
- Provide consistent status reporting and executive-level communication
- Ensure quality assurance, documentation, and compliance with delivery standards
- Support portfolio alignment and prioritization in partnership with PMO leadership
- Facilitate steering committees, governance meetings, and stakeholder forums
Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience, with strong PMO background
- Healthcare / health insurance industry experience required
- Experience managing enterprise projects with budgets of $1M+
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (12+ years in lieu of degree)
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification required
- Experience with PMO tools such as Planview, JIRA, or similar platforms

- Expertise in risk, issue, financial, and dependency management
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in matrixed, regulated healthcare environments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and enterprise project tracking tools
