Join a fast-growing commercial construction firm in Wasilla, Alaska as a Project Manager, where you will lead major ground-up and large-scale projects that shape communities across the state. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company known for strong employee retention, a family-oriented culture, and impressive growth, with high-profile projects including schools, rehabilitation centers, public libraries, firehouses, and hospitality developments such as major hotels.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Manager position include:
- 8-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large commercial construction projects; lead multi-million-dollar commercial projects from inception through completion.
- Proven experience managing projects valued at $15M+; oversee scheduling, sequencing, subcontractors, and budgets to keep projects on time and on budget.
- Strong background in commercial projects such as schools, healthcare-related facilities, hospitality, and public buildings; manage projects including schools, rehabilitation centers, libraries, firehouses, and hotel developments.
- Knowledge of full project lifecycle from site preparation through final construction; supervise the entire construction scope while ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and field operations; spend significant time on job sites, especially for larger projects, to support successful execution.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, and Sage100 Contractor; utilize project management tools to track progress, documentation, and costs.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills; collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to maintain safety and project standards.
- Alaska commercial construction knowledge strongly preferred, including understanding of weather and road restrictions; support local and occasional remote projects with minimal travel as needed.
Salary: $150,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including health insurance with 75% coverage for employee health and 50% coverage for employee dental, Paid Time Off (PTO), an IRA with 3% match, and potential bonuses based on employer and employee performance.
