Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale public and commercial construction projects. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through closeout, with a strong emphasis on projects exceeding $10M in scope. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach to project execution, financial management, and team leadership, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout*
- Oversee projects with contract values exceeding $10M, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction*
- Develop and manage detailed project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting*
- Maintain full ownership of project financials including cost control, change orders, and risk management*
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams*
- Ensure compliance with all public sector regulations, safety standards, and contractual requirements*
- Utilize Procore for project management, documentation, scheduling, and communication*
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear updates to stakeholders*
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues to avoid delays or cost overruns*
- Mentor and support junior project management staff
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)*
- 8+ years of experience in construction project management*
- Proven experience managing public and commercial construction projects*
- Demonstrated success managing projects with budgets exceeding $10M*
- Strong proficiency with Procore (required)*
- Hands-on experience managing project budgets, financial tracking, and forecasting*
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods*
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills*
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with municipal, state, or federally funded projects*
- Knowledge of scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)*
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
