Build Your Career with a Growing Mechanical Contractor

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven professional who can independently manage project scope, schedule, budget, and field operations while collaborating with clients, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets while tracking costs and identifying potential variances.
  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, detailing, and BIM teams to ensure designs, fabrication, and installation meet project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating mechanical work with other trades to keep projects on track.
  • Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Lead project meetings and multi-trade coordination sessions to ensure seamless communication and execution.
  • Manage procurement of equipment and materials to support construction schedules.
  • Oversee field superintendents and foremen, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
  • Monitor project performance and profitability, providing regular progress updates to leadership.
  • Identify project risks and proactively resolve issues before they impact cost or schedule.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranty documentation.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of project management experience in mechanical, HVAC, or commercial construction.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, HVAC construction practices, scheduling, and project coordination.
  • Experience managing project budgets, cost controls, subcontractors, vendors, and procurement.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with general contractors on commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, or institutional projects is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement
  • Collaborative, team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunity to manage challenging, high-profile commercial construction projects
