Job Description
Project Manager Electrical Construction Location: Arizona Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Compensation: $130,000 $170,000 per year (DOE)We are partnering with a leading electrical contractor to hire an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial and healthcare projects in Arizona. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive compensation, strong benefits, and long-term career growth.The ideal candidate has experience managing electrical construction projects with budgets exceeding $10 million. Prior hospital project experience is preferred.Responsibilities
- Manage electrical construction projects with budgets of $10M+
- Develop and lead strong project teams while delivering quality work on time and within budget
- Drive division profitability through effective execution and financial oversight
- Develop and manage project schedules, procurement plans, contracts, and staffing assignments
- Manage and mentor approximately 3 direct reports and 10 total team members
- Review contractual requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Adjust priorities and milestones based on client needs and resource availability
- Interface directly with clients to ensure expectations are understood and met
- Provide oversight of third-party construction firms
- Lead project review processes with emphasis on forecasting and cost control
- Manage invoicing per project terms and negotiate change orders
- Communicate risks, challenges, and project updates proactively
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in electrical commercial or mixed-use construction
- Experience managing large-scale projects ($10M+ budgets required)
- Prior hospital construction experience preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems and engineering principles
- Field experience coordinating with construction management teams
- Extensive knowledge of scheduling, bidding, take-offs, change orders, and contracts
- Proven ability to manage profitable projects and develop client relationships
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degree strongly preferred
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus
- Salary: $130,000 $170,000 annually (based on experience)
