Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months Start: As Soon As Possible Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours Pay Rate:$60.00 – $63.00 per hour Job Overview The Project Manager will support regulatory and compliance initiatives for a leading electric and natural gas utility. This role leads cross-functional teams to execute the Compliance Maturity Model (CMM) Tactical Implementation Plan (TIP), ensuring regulatory alignment, timely delivery of action items, and continuous risk mitigation. The position requires strong project management, regulatory awareness, and stakeholder communication skills in a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute compliance-focused projects, defining scope, risks, timelines, and deliverables Manage the successful execution of the CMM Tactical Implementation Plan, ensuring action owners complete tasks on time Monitor regulatory requirements (e.g., CPUC, FERC, OEIS, CAISO) and support adherence to evolving standards Identify, assess, and mitigate project and compliance risks Escalate changes, risks, and delays as needed and update project documentation accordingly Act as a liaison between departments, senior leadership, and external auditors Support updates to procedures and guidance documents to meet internal compliance requirements Provide regular status reporting and insights to senior stakeholders Support compliance training initiatives as required Required Skills & Qualifications Required 3–10+ years of experience in project management, compliance, legal, or regulatory roles Strong experience managing complex, cross-functional projects Moderate knowledge of utility or energy industry regulations Proven ability to identify and manage risk and change Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Visio) Preferred Experience working in regulated utility or energy environments Strong analytical and documentation skills Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field Equipment: Client laptop provided Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Teams for calls and meetings Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401(k) Retirement Fund About the Company A leading natural gas and electric energy provider serving millions of customers across the United States.
