Job Description

Project Manager (Non-IT): IV (Lead)

Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid

Contract Details

  • Pay Rate: $90.00 $100.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

We're currently searching for an experienced Project Manager to join our team to support Transportation Initiatives. The Project Manager should have a minimum of five years of experience supporting and managing large-scale projects and programs. A natural leader, this person should have strong talent for project coordination and delegation. The project manager should be motivated by a desire to collaborate, coordinate, and drive project success from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop project plans: understand key initiative milestones, interdependencies across various initiatives and the related enterprise or external communications required
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
  • Work closely with project sponsor(s), cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Manage project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
  • Accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Work with other program/project managers to identify interdependencies, dependencies, risks, and opportunities across projects
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce status reports for managers and stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Proactive approach to project work
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
  • Willingness to challenge assumptions and drive projects forward
  • Advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Public speaking, facilitation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Multi-tasking, organization, leadership, and time management

Preferred Skills

  • Project Management Certification in PMI or other methodologies
  • Change Management certification in Prosci or other methodologies
  • Lean Six Sigma certification and/or experience
  • Background in Transportation, Fleet Management, or Logistics

Education Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business or a related field

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 5 7 years of progressive experience supporting and managing large-scale projects and programs
