Job Description
Position Summary The Project Manager oversees planning, execution, and completion of pool construction and renovation projects. This role manages budgets, schedules, subcontractors, materials, and client communication from kickoff through final walkthrough, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Manage multiple construction and renovation projects simultaneously
- Develop timelines and coordinate schedules with field teams
- Review plans, specifications, and contracts before project start
- Lead pre-construction meetings and job site kickoffs
- Track progress and resolve delays or issues proactively
Budget & Cost Management
- Oversee budgets and track project costs
- Approve purchases and subcontractor invoices
- Monitor labor productivity and hours
- Identify and address cost overruns
- Maintain profitability targets
Field Coordination
- Partner with Field Supervisors to ensure proper execution
- Coordinate subcontractors (excavation, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Conduct site visits to verify quality and schedule adherence
Quality Control & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company standards and building codes
- Confirm inspections are scheduled and passed
- Enforce safety practices across job sites
Client Communication
- Act as primary customer contact throughout the project
- Provide regular progress updates
- Manage change orders and client concerns
- Lead final walkthrough and project closeout
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain project documentation and reports
- Manage change orders and contract updates
- Coordinate permitting and inspections
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- High school diploma required; construction-related degree preferred
- 5+ years of project management experience in construction or pools
- Experience leading crews or subcontractors
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of pool construction processes
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Budgeting and cost control experience
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
- OSHA 10/30
- Valid driver’s license
