Project Manager – North America Managed Services

Job Summary

The Expert PM leads high‑visibility, multi‑tower customer engagements, managing scope, risk, budget, and operational readiness. This role oversees cross-functional teams and serves as a senior customer-facing leader responsible for achieving contractual outcomes across print, device, and collaboration solutions.

The Expert PM applies advanced project management expertise, drives strategic alignment, and ensures accountability across HP and customer organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Multi‑Tower Deployment Leadership

  • Ownership of the Deployment phase for MPS, MDS, and MCS programs, ensuring execution aligns with HP’s Deploy lifecycle.

  • Coordinate multi-functional, multivendor teams across print fleet management, device provisioning, analytics, collaboration room buildouts, and monitoring services.

  • Implement contractual and technical aspects to deploy all Managed Services towers, ensuring readiness for transition to steady-state.

  • Oversee the execution of the scope of work, including preparing cost estimates, managing schedules, driving DAIR documentation, and coordinating operational handover plans.

  • Apply HP methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), PMI best practices, and HP service lifecycle (Define–Design–Deploy–Manage).

  • Manage complex portfolios affecting multiple customer divisions and multi-region deployments.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Represent HP as an expert to customers and external partners.

  • Build and strengthen C‑level and director‑level relationships, providing thought leadership across all service towers.

  • Represent HP across all services towers, providing thought leadership and consultative guidance.

  • Act as a trusted advisor guiding customers through strategic changes in their print, device, and collaboration environments.

Program Governance & Risk Management

  • Develop and manage program governance models, including steering committees, PMO structures, quality controls, DAIR logs, communication plans, and operational handover frameworks.

  • Anticipate challenges, assess and report on risk throughout the program, lead development and implementation of mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure contractual compliance across multiple towers, including SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the creation of new methods, templates, and policies.

Financial & Commercial Accountability

  • Own budgets across multi‑tower programs; track financial performance and forecasting.

  • Provide accurate hardware, device, and solution provisioning forecasts.

  • Identify incremental cross-service opportunities that drive customer value and HP growth.

Team Leadership

  • Lead diverse cross-functional teams (often >20 resources), including technical consultants, project coordinators, and external partners.

  • Mentor and develop project managers and tower leads.

  • Build productive internal/external working relationships across HP and with partner ecosystems.

  • Set expectations for delivery excellence and adherence to HP methodologies.

Complexity & Scope

  • Manage programs with high risk, significant contractual complexity, and multi‑tower dependencies.

  • Leads projects with aggressive timelines and enterprise-scale business impact.

  • Oversee integration of print, device, and collaboration environments into unified managed services.

  • Participates in cross‑organizational initiatives and drives continuous improvement across Managed Services.

Required Education & Experience

  • Four‑year or Graduate Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.

  • 7–10+ years of experience in project or program management, IT service transitions, or related technical fields.

Preferred Certifications

  • PMI (PMP) required

  • ITIL (Foundation or higher)

  • ITSM certifications

  • PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certifications

  • Six Sigma or process improvement certifications

Knowledge & Skills

  • Expert command of HP Services operational policies, processes, and methodologies.

  • Deep fluency across MPS, MDS, and MCS service principles, including remote monitoring, analytics, and proactive management models.

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues across multiple technical domains.

  • Skilled in financial governance, contractual compliance, and multi‑tower integration.

The pay range for this role is$93,400to$143,800USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
