Overview
Job Description
- Promote cross-functional performance on assigned R&D projects, driving project execution in accordance with the company’s design control process & quality systems.
- Enable seamless communications as the primary point of contact among internal and external members of a project team, ensuring effective, accurate and timely collaboration across functions.
- Accountable for the successful delivery (on-time, on-budget and on-target) of assigned NPD projects from Initiation/Feasibility to Commercialization.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans to achieve overall project goals and objectives.
- Manage day-to-day activities of project execution, holding core team members accountable for project deliverables.
- Monitor and track project execution, project budget, and resources.
- Resolve resource assignment and allocation conflicts with functional management.
- Proactively manage project risks and develop response strategies to avoid/reduce/contain risk impacts.
- Understand and assess project issues, promote resolution, and escalate as necessary to meet timelines.
- Provide communication and updates to cross-functional management and Executive Leadership Team.
- Apply product development and project management best practices, tools and techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years in engineering or project management experience; or a combination of education/training and experience.
- Experience working under regulated quality systems such as GMPs, ISO 9001, and the MDD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Design Control process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including MS project and other project management tools.
- PMP certification, and experience in catheter development and medical devices preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence without direct authority over team members.
