Responsibilities

As a Permanent Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of our construction projects, overseeing all aspects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects within budget, schedule, and quality parameters.
2. Developing comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
3. Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
4. Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand and adhere to job expectations and standards.
5. Reviewing the work progress on a daily basis and making necessary adjustments to keep the project on track.
6. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
7. Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status, and presenting them to stakeholders.
8. Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
9. Resolving any problems that may arise and providing solutions in a timely manner.
10. Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards and reporting issues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong foundation in project management and construction. The following qualifications are necessary:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial projects.
3. Proven experience in project management and the ability to lead a project from conception to completion.
4. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
5. Strong knowledge of construction details, building systems, and procedures.
6. Excellent knowledge of construction project management software such as Procore or similar.
7. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
8. Strong problem-solving ability with a knack for making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
9. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
10. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
