Overview
Our client is seeking a highly technical and driven Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end operations and digital transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with an engineering background who can drive continuous improvement, advance manufacturing digitalization (MES), and manage multi-location, high-impact projects. Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex operations, digitalization, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects, including development of next-generation test systems, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and R&D—to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure on-time and within-budget execution.
- Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure strong project outcomes.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and prepare executive-level reporting.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on industry best practices, digital manufacturing advancements, and regulatory changes, recommending improvements as needed.
- Support strategic enterprise initiatives and drive operational excellence across the organization.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Proven experience managing multi-location projects; global experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead highly technical engineering and test system initiatives.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and operations metrics (Test Systems, MES, OEE, takt time, yield).
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, Excel, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES platforms and digital manufacturing technologies.
- Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.).
- Experience in medical device, high‑tech manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
