Job Description

Location: Providence, RI Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $160,000.00 USD Annually Description: Project Manager – Public Construction A growing construction management team is looking for a skilled Project Manager to take ownership of multiple public-sector building projects across Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys leading diverse teams, and is confident navigating the unique requirements of public construction. What You’ll Do Guide projects from early planning through closeout, including leading pre‑construction meetings and coordinating site evaluations with clients and stakeholders. Provide day‑to‑day leadership for project teams, including Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and administrative staff. Oversee the full lifecycle of change orders, ensuring accurate documentation, timely processing, and proper approvals. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, design partners, and subcontractors across multiple active projects. Support project operations through scheduling, procurement, budget tracking, and invoice review. Manage a portfolio of 2–4 active projects at any given time, adjusting priorities based on scope and complexity. What You Bring 5–10 years of project management experience in construction, ideally with Massachusetts public projects or DCAMM‑related work. Familiarity with pre‑construction planning, commercial construction processes, and basic estimating. Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a knack for keeping teams aligned and informed. Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously in a high‑volume environment. Experience building positive client relationships and representing the company professionally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and construction management platforms such as Procore. OSHA 10 certification. Education Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
