We are hiring a Project Manager to support the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of Information Systems (OIS), Information Resources Management Division (IRMD). In this role, you will manage up to 10 IT projects of varying size and complexity, coordinating scope, schedules, budgets, risks, changes, documentation, and stakeholder communication within a structured PMO environment supporting USCP's law-enforcement mission.Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Apply today!RESPONSIBILITIESIT Project Planning & Delivery
  • Manage up to 10 IT projects of varying size and complexity
  • Work with USCP OIS staff and stakeholders to maintain alignment with approved project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Assist stakeholders in defining project scope, objectives, requirements, and delivery expectations
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, requirements, communications, agendas, and other core project documentation
  • Apply Agile, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate to project needs
  • Coordinate project milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and completion activities across assigned initiatives
Risk, Change & Performance Management
  • Identify, document, track, and support resolution of project risks and issues
  • Manage approved changes to project scope, schedule, and costs in coordination with Government stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance and surface schedule, resource, cost, or delivery concerns for timely action
  • Use project-management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Teams Planner, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and comparable PPM dashboards
  • Maintain accurate project records and status information needed for oversight and decision-making
PMO Governance & Reporting
  • Prepare clear project status reports, dashboards, briefings, and updates for management, staff, and stakeholders
  • Support PMO governance activities, internal reviews, action tracking, and completion of findings
  • Maintain visibility into schedules, risks, resources, issues, and deliverables across assigned projects
  • Support consistent use of PMO processes, methodologies, templates, and reporting practices
  • Coordinate project documentation and records within established OIS collaboration environments
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate meetings, communications, and follow-up actions with Government staff, technical teams, and project stakeholders
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, changes, and upcoming milestones clearly to appropriate audiences
  • Support timely resolution of project questions and dependencies through organized stakeholder coordination
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience managing IT projects of varying size and complexity, including enterprise-level initiatives
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and an Agile certification such as CSM, PMI-ACP, or PSM
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS
  • Ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, changes, and deliverables across multiple concurrent IT projects
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall project-management methodologies
  • Experience with project-management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Teams Planner, SharePoint, ServiceNow, or comparable PPM dashboards
  • Strong project documentation, status reporting, stakeholder coordination, and communication skills
  • Ability to support PMO governance, internal reviews, action tracking, and standardized project-management practices
LOCATION
  • United States Capitol Police (USCP), Southwest Washington, DC 20003
TELEWORK
  • Full-time onsite for the first two months; afterward, positions are generally onsite at least 2 days per week with up to 3 telework days per week, subject to USCP approval and operational needs. USCP may increase or cancel telework temporarily or permanently.

SECURITY / ACCESS
  • Ability to successfully complete a USCP criminal history check and fingerprinting before performing onsite work
  • Ability to qualify for and maintain a USCP identification/access badge for onsite duties
  • Ability to complete USCP building access forms and other required onboarding/access processing
  • Ability to protect sensitive and proprietary USCP information and comply with applicable confidentiality requirements
