Job Description
Project ManagerThe Project Manager's Responsibilities:Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices while ensuring accurate cost allocation and maintaining project budgets.Monitor project financial performance by identifying cost variances, preparing budget updates, and communicating potential issues proactively.Manage project startup activities, including job setup, submittals, RFIs, and manpower planning.Maintain project schedules, process change orders, and oversee T&M ticket documentation and approvals.Coordinate labor, material deliveries, equipment, and onsite resources while participating in weekly manpower planning meetings.Partner with Superintendents to resolve field issues, conduct regular site visits, and monitor project quality and productivity.Build strong relationships with general contractors, collaborating with project managers and superintendents to meet quality standards and schedule milestones.Prepare monthly cost forecasts, billings, quarterly workload reviews, and annual performance and goal evaluations to support successful project execution.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.A Successful Project Manager will:5+ years of project management experience overseeing drywall and/or metal framing scopes on commercial or multifamily construction projects.Proven ability to step into projects quickly and manage them independently with minimal ramp-up.Strong understanding of construction budgeting, contract administration, project documentation, and change order management.Experience collaborating effectively with general contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.Proficiency in managing submittals, O&M manuals, warranties, closeout documentation, and other project records with a high level of accuracy.Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
