Job Description

Commercial Construction Project Manager

Our client is a leading commercial general contractor with a strong presence throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. They specialize in delivering high-profile ground-up and complex renovation projects across the industrial, healthcare, education, life sciences, multifamily, retail, and mixed-use sectors. Known for their commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction, they have built a reputation as one of the area's most respected construction firms.

Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Lead all aspects of ground-up commercial construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution. Develop and maintain project schedules, cost reports, and forecasts. Manage subcontractor selection, contract administration, and project performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders. Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Monitor project financial performance and ensure profitability objectives are met. Collaborate with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project goals. Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact schedule or budget. Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality expectations. Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and leadership.

A successful Building and Construction Project Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Demonstrated success managing ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $10M+. Experience in sectors such as industrial, healthcare, higher education, life sciences, office, retail, or multifamily construction. Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery processes. Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor relationships. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. OSHA certification and industry certifications such as PMP or CCM are a plus.
