The Role

As a Project Manager- Transmission, you will lead complex transmission projects from pursuit through closeout. You may manage a major phase of a large-scale project or oversee multiple medium-sized projects ranging from $500K to $10M+.

You are accountable for scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction, with a strong emphasis on safety leadership and financial performance. This role is ideal for a driven, organized leader who thrives in the field and enjoys owning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and project teams
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Track costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics
  • Promote and exemplify Michels' safety-first culture

What It Takes

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with project management software (Primavera, HCSS, or similar)

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • Willingness and ability to travel and commit to long-term, on-site projects
