Project Manager

Company Overview:

Mueller Company, the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, is seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to join our team. This role requires flexibility, with up to 50% travel expected. Candidates who reside in or near Decatur, IL, or Chattanooga, TN are preferred.

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of assigned projects. This includes ensuring projects are properly scoped, resourced, and completed on schedule, while serving as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project plans and objectives
  • Develop and maintain project charters and ensure appropriate project scoping
  • Evaluate requirements of key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct critical path analysis to manage timelines effectively
  • Establish and maintain Gantt charts to track project progress
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance to meet project goals
  • Serve as the primary communicator to stakeholders and project team members
  • Drive capital requests and approvals for assigned projects
  • Act as the main liaison across all functional areas related to assigned projects

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; technical field preferred
  • MBA or PMI Certification preferred
  • 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing environments
  • 2+ years leading complex, high-dollar capital projects and/or programs
  • Strong experience in capital project scope development and justification
  • Preferred knowledge: complex manufacturing processes, hardware specifications, quality standards, product development, CAD/CAM, equipment installation, data analytics, construction management, and technical specifications

Salary/Pay Range:

$94,067.00 - $129,329.00 USD

The compensation range above reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment as of the date of posting. Individual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the role, professional experience, job-related skills, achievements, and/or work location. The range listed is only one component of the total compensation package offered to candidates.
