Merit based incentive planPosition Summary: On-Board Engineering Corp. is seeking an experienced Process Engineer / Project Manager (Registered P.E. preferred) to support industrial design consulting projects while also contributing to business development and project opportunity identification efforts.  The position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining remote work with on-site and client-facing responsibilities as needed.Required Qualifications:· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering· Minimum 8+ years of process engineering experience in industrial, chemical, refinery, or energy-related environments (consulting experience acceptable)· Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in any U.S. state (preferred)· Proven experience supporting capital projects (chemical, manufacturing, energy, specialty materials, or related industries)· Strong working knowledge of:

o Process design and engineering calculations o EPCM / EPC / Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build project delivery methods o Budget development and cost tracking

· Proven experience with:

o Project scope development o Cost, labor, and schedule estimating o Bid package development o Vendor evaluation and technical reviews

· Demonstrated ability to engage directly with clients and present technical solutions· Front-End Loading (FEL) design experience for plant capital projects (required)· Excellent written and verbal communication skillsKey ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Project Execution· Lead and support project Front-End Loading (FEL) design through construction efforts for industrial plant capital projects· Develop and review:

o Process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) o Heat and material balances o Process specifications and equipment data sheets o Design calculations and technical reports

· Provide technical oversight, problem-solving, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle· Serve in a Project Manager / Engineer role, collaborating with multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. May serve as discipline lead or overall project manager on projects.· Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety practices, and client specifications· Support HAZOPs, process safety reviews, and risk assessments as required· Utilize 2D and/or 3D CAD tools to support design development and documentation. CAD capabilities a plus, but not required· Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external vendors through written reports, meetings, and presentationsBusiness Development & Project Opportunity Identification· Support business development initiatives by identifying, qualifying, and helping pursue new project opportunities with existing and prospective clients· Participate in client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions to uncover additional scopes of work and capital project needs· Collaborate with corporate leadership, project managers, and sales teams to develop technical approaches, proposals, and cost estimates· Assist in strengthening long-term client relationships by delivering value-added engineering solutions and trusted technical guidance· Contribute to expanding On-Board’s industrial engineering footprint by leveraging technical expertise to support client growth strategies· Maintain and strengthen client relationships through ongoing engagement and value-added engineering supportWhy Join On-Board Engineering?
