Job Description

PROJECT MANAGER: SCHEDULING

Ross Group is seeking a Senior Scheduling Manager / Project Manager to lead and oversee scheduling strategy across multiple construction projects while managing and mentoring a team of schedulers. This role combines strong construction project management experience with advanced scheduling expertise, particularly in Primavera P6, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position serves as a key link between Operations, Project Management, and Executive Leadership, providing oversight of project schedules while supporting project teams in planning, sequencing, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of schedulers supporting multiple projects.

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee project schedules using Primavera P6.

  • Establish scheduling standards, templates, and processes across the organization.

  • Ensure schedules are properly resource and cost loaded.

  • Analyze schedule performance and identify risks, delays, or impacts.

  • Provide schedule reporting and analysis to project teams and leadership.

Project Management Support

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimating during preconstruction and project execution.

  • Assist in developing proposal and baseline schedules during the bidding process.

  • Evaluate schedule impacts and develop recovery plans when necessary.

  • Support project teams with short-term scheduling strategies and schedule updates.

  • Participate in owner/architect meetings and provide schedule updates when required.

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Mentor and develop scheduling staff through training and professional development.

  • Serve as the internal expert on scheduling processes and software.

  • Work closely with project teams to improve planning, sequencing, and execution.

  • Facilitate regular scheduling meetings to review project progress and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 7+ years of construction project management and/or scheduling experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 required.

  • Experience managing or mentoring project controls or scheduling staff.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling methodology, and project controls.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
