Job Description

The Project Manager will lead and manage technology-focused projects critical to our supply chain and distribution operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while effectively coordinating efforts across multiple internal teams and external partners. The Project Manager plays a key role in advancing operational capabilities by coordinating cross-functional efforts, managing stakeholder alignment, and ensuring seamless implementation of systems and process enhancements that drive efficiency, visibility, and service performance across the organization.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of IT projects, including large-scale WMS implementations, new technology rollouts, and system upgrades.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, define scope, manage resources, and track progress against timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including senior leadership, Enterprise IT, and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and technology partners to manage deliverables, service levels, and integration activities.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and field operations to ensure mutual understanding of project goals and impacts.
  • Support training, documentation, and rollout communications to drive effective implementation.
  • Apply project management best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methods) depending on project needs.
  • Support standardization of project management tools, templates, and reporting mechanisms across the Operations Technology team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and governance.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved budget parameters and provide regular financial status updates to leadership.
  • Manage resource allocation across cross-functional teams to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide clear, concise status, risk and performance updates to all stakeholders.
  • Develop executive summaries and post-project evaluations that highlight outcomes, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain visibility into project interdependence and overall Operations Technology roadmap progress.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a technology focused Project Manager, with a strong background in managing complex projects in the supply chain or distribution space.
  • Demonstrated experience with WMS, ERP, or similar system implementations.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading technology implementation or enhancement projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with foodservice distribution or related industries preferred.
