Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of secure detention equipment and systems projects from award through closeout. This role is responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, coordination, installation, and final delivery, while ensuring adherence to strict safety, security, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full project lifecycle for detention equipment and security system installations, from contract award through final acceptance
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating internal teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors
• Oversee procurement and logistics of specialized detention equipment, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project timelines
• Track project costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure profitability targets are achieved
• Serve as the primary liaison with general contractors, owners, and stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress, verify site readiness, and address field-related challenges
• Coordinate closely with field supervisors and superintendents to ensure proper installation, quality control, and compliance with project specifications
• Review and approve timesheets, expenses, change orders, and vendor invoices
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, and closeout packages
• Identify risks and proactively implement solutions to mitigate delays, cost overruns, or scope changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of construction project management experience
• Experience working on detention facilities, correctional institutions, or other high-security environments strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
• PMP certification is a plus
