Job Description
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee engineering design efforts for FDA-regulated capital projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical engineering expertise and hands-on project management experience within a design or consulting environment. This is a high-visibility role that involves direct client engagement and full project lifecycle ownership from concept through closeout.
Job Responsibilities -
Serve as the lead engineer on assigned capital projects. Provide direction and support to discipline leads and project team members.
Develop and maintain engineering plans, workflows, and standard operating procedures for the design team.
Lead projects from initial concept through completion, including scope development, proposal preparation, resource planning, and ongoing coordination with internal teams.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables against established goals.
Prepare and deliver detailed status reports to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Manage client communication throughout all phases of assigned projects, ensuring project targets are met efficiently while also considering opportunities to develop client relationships and develop new opportunities.
Coordinate with subcontractors and external partners to ensure work is delivered on time and within budget.
Job Requirements -
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
5+ years of progressive engineering experience, preferably within a design or consulting firm.
5+ years of demonstrated project management experience on medium to large-scale capital projects.
Experience with FDA-regulated facility design and compliance requirements.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
Must be comfortable handling communication in a client-facing role, and have the ability to build and sustain long-term professional relationships.
Experience developing project budgets, resource plans, and detailed work schedules.
