Project Manager

Our client is a large scale fabrication company with over 50 years of successful history. They are seeking a Project Manager to play a key role in planning, coordinating, and administrative actions required to successfully complete manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities:

Develop integrated project plans, project schedules, and budgets by coordinating the efforts of all required disciplines. Plans, schedules, and budgets will be consistent with customer schedule requirements and specifications, as well as Company's cost objectives and resources constraints in order to control orders and receipt through completion. Develop and maintain an overall project schedule for all major phases/elements of an order, defining the required contributions of each technical and/or administrative disciplines. Interface with the customer on a regular basis to resolve quality, contractual and technical issues. Develop a project budget plan relating to each phase of the contract. Analyze project costs (actual vs. planned) and develop corrective actions necessary to resolve unfavorable performance. Develop proposals for major government/commercial customers in accordance with specification requirements. Interface with all required disciplines to communicate contract requirements and coordinate plans to assure the project plans are achieved

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Specialized training in management or business administration may substitute for formal engineering education
• 4-5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering administration, preferably within large equipment fabrication
• Proven experience planning, coordinating, and directing teams on complex projects
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
