Project Manager (Engineering)

Job Title: Project Manager (Engineering) Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota Type: 12 month Contract Compensation: $85.00 - $88.75 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid Hours: Monday and Friday remote, Tues-Thurs in office/on-site System One is currently seeking a Project Manager on a 12 month contract position located in St Paul, MN. Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Supports the Gas Transmission Project Management team.
• Projects span from inception through execution and closeout and include:
  • Pipeline pressure test replacements
  • New pipeline builds and new service installations to neighborhoods/developers
  • Regulator (reg) station rebuilds
  • Pipeline and reg station relocations due to road or infrastructure changes
  • RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) program management, including prioritization, forecasting, contractor coordination, and execution
  • Mandated relocations and new business projects
• Leads a cross-functional team and manages budget, scheduling, forecasting, and execution.
• Daily or every-other-day staff meetings with the PM group
• Weekly cross-functional project meetings (operations, project controls, right-of-way, engineering, contractors)
• Monthly forecasting meetings (12-month outlook)
• Bi-weekly scheduling meetings
• Design reviews with engineering
• Reviewing and negotiating contractor and engineering quotes
• Completing PO, audit, and procurement documentation
• Site visits (weekly to bi-weekly, depending on project phase), especially during construction season (March–November)

Project Manager Requirements:

• Strong communication
• Organization
• Leadership
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Scheduling experience
• 5 years of experience
• Experience in natural gas or utility industry (midstream, upstream, downstream, or public utility)
• Construction-based project management experience preferred
• Engineering background preferred but not required
• PMP (nice to have, not required)
