Who We Are Looking for and What You Will Do as a USANA Project Manager (Product Development)
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join the USANA Project Management team as a Project Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with program managers, product owners, project teams, and key stakeholders to support the launch and commercialization of physical consumer products, including vitamins, minerals, foods, and skincare. You will lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, ensuring projects align with USANA's vision and core values while meeting quality, timeline, and budget expectations. This position focuses on bringing tangible consumer products to market and coordinating efforts across multiple departments to successfully deliver new product initiatives.
- Partner with the Program Manager (PGPM) and Product Owner (PO) to ensure projects run at peak efficiency from development through launch
- Defines, develops, and manages project scope and requirements, securing necessary approvals across cross-functional teams, including Regulatory, Quality, Labeling/Artwork, and Supply Chain
- Manages project communications and documentation, including status reporting and maintaining key project repositories such as specifications, artwork files, change logs, and launch readiness materials
- Proactively identifies and manages project risks, including resource, scheduling, quality, and procurement challenges such as supplier availability, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and formulation or ingredient constraints
- Leads cross-functional launch teams across R&D/Formulation, Quality, Regulatory, Packaging, Supply Chain, and Marketing to successfully deliver new product initiatives
- Implements structured change management processes to effectively communicate, evaluate, and manage scope changes and updates, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholders.
What You Will Need
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred
- Minimum three to five years' experience implementing and deploying large, complex, cross-functional, and cross-organizational projects
- Bachelor's degree in business, production, or operations-related field
- Proficient in all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning (using WBS, Gantt charts, and PERT/CPM), execution, monitoring and control, and closure
- Experience with Microsoft Project required, Oracle Agile preferred
- Position is hybrid/in-office located in Salt Lake City.
