Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager / Construction Manager (PM/CM) to oversee and manage the plumbing construction scope of a major $100 million data center development project.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing approximately $7 million in plumbing construction activities, ensuring successful project execution from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience managing complex construction projects, with demonstrated expertise in project coordination, subcontractor oversight, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and field operations.

While experience in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, or vertical construction is preferred, it is not required. We are primarily seeking a strong construction management professional with proven leadership abilities and a successful track record of delivering projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Oversee daily construction activities associated with the plumbing scope of the data center project.
  • Manage all phases of construction, including planning, scheduling, execution, inspections, and project closeout.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable building codes.
  • Identify project risks, resolve field challenges, and implement corrective actions.

Scheduling & Budget Management

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain construction schedules to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Oversee the approximately $7 million plumbing construction budget.
  • Monitor project costs, labor productivity, material procurement, and resource allocation.
  • Review change orders, subcontractor progress, and payment applications.
  • Provide regular project status updates and progress reports to senior management.

Construction Supervision & Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, and construction operations.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and monitor construction progress.
  • Coordinate plumbing installations with mechanical, electrical, structural, and other construction trades.
  • Maintain effective communication between project management teams and field operations.
  • Ensure timely resolution of construction conflicts and scheduling issues.

Quality Assurance & Safety

  • Ensure all work meets established quality standards and project specifications.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning support, and project closeout activities.
  • Promote a safe, productive, and organized construction environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of construction project management or construction management experience.
  • Proven experience successfully managing large-scale or complex construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate construction activities.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Experience managing project costs, schedules, contracts, and field operations.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site throughout the project duration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing plumbing or MEP construction projects.
  • Previous experience with data centers, industrial facilities, commercial developments, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
  • OSHA safety training or relevant construction certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • PMP or CCM certification is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on construction leader who can take ownership of a significant project scope, manage subcontractors effectively, coordinate field operations, and deliver results.

The successful candidate does not necessarily need extensive plumbing or data center experience. Instead, we value individuals who demonstrate:

  • Strong construction management expertise.
  • Proven success delivering multimillion-dollar projects.
