Job Description

a well-established concrete construction company, is seeking an Estimator / Project Manager to join their team in Minnesota. This role blends preconstruction and project leadership, giving you ownership from bid through closeout while working closely with field teams and clients. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the numbers and the execution side of construction.

What You'll Do as the Estimator / Project Manager:

  • Lead the full bidding process including takeoffs, pricing, and proposal development
  • Analyze plans and specifications to build accurate and competitive estimates
  • Solicit and negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, and scope alignment
  • Coordinate closely with field teams to track progress, resolve issues, and communicate changes
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and manage change orders, cost impacts, and schedule adjustments
  • Plan ahead to anticipate scheduling challenges and keep projects moving forward

Must-Haves as the Estimator / Project Manager:

  • Experience in construction estimating and project management
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of construction operations, contracts, and jobsite coordination
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem solving

Nice-to-Haves as the Estimator / Project Manager:

  • Experience in concrete or civil construction
  • Familiarity with Sage or similar estimating software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Field experience or hands-on construction background
