About the Position

The company is expanding its Southwest Florida operations and seeking a Project Manager to support civil and structural concrete scopes related to major airport development—including runway and airfield expansion projects. This role is ideal for someone who wants to accelerate their career in heavy civil and commercial concrete while contributing to mission-critical aviation infrastructure.

As a Project Manager , you will provide overall management direction for less-complex projects, setting project objectives, developing budgets, monitoring construction progress, and collaborating closely with the Superintendent. You will act as the primary point of contact for the client, oversee financial results, ensure project safety, and actively promote a safe culture.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing pre-construction activities, job transitions, and project start-up
  • Overseeing project cost controls, schedules, and cash flow
  • Leading and supporting direct reports and field teams
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and communication
  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting all technical documentation
  • Supporting day-to-day construction activities and problem solving
  • Overseeing project safety, risk management, and compliance
  • Ensuring a safe work environment across all project phases
  • Participating in trainings and certifications as required

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 4 years of construction experience; or
    • 8 years of construction-related experience or training; or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in civil or concrete construction preferred
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, scheduling, cost control, and field coordination
  • Ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with diverse project teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and supporting Baker's IIF culture
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
