Project Manager 2 / Superintendent 3 – Nuclear Facilities (DOE/LANL)

Location: Los Alamos, NM | 100% Onsite (TA-55 Plant)

Compensation: $58–$64/hr

Schedule: 4/10s with anticipated overtime | Days, nights, weekends, graveyard as required

Duration: 1 year with extensions up to 5 years | Conversion potential available

Openings: 40 positions available

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

Clearance: Active DOE Q Clearance required at time of application

WHY THIS ROLE

LANL is seeking experienced Construction Project Managers and Superintendents to lead construction efforts at the TA-55 facility - a high-security nuclear environment supporting some of the nation's most critical federal missions. In this dual-function role, you'll own project execution end-to-end: managing scope, budget, and schedule as a Control Account Manager while providing direct construction oversight and leading Superintendent-level staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as Control Account Manager responsible for scope, cost, and schedule for assigned construction work packages
  • Lead construction crews and subcontractors during active work phases at TA-55
  • Develop and maintain EVMS-compliant cost and schedule baselines
  • Coordinate with engineering, QA, safety, and nuclear facility operations personnel
  • Present project performance to federal project managers and DOE oversight personnel
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Lead daily coordination meetings and pre-job briefings

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • S. Citizenship with active DOE Q Clearance at time of application
  • 8+ years of construction project management or superintendent experience
  • Experience managing cost and schedule on capital construction projects
  • Familiarity with EVMS and earned value reporting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in a field construction environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • DOE, nuclear, or NNSA facility construction management experience
  • PMP or equivalent PM certification
  • Experience with DOE O 413.3B project execution requirements

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS - READ BEFORE APPLYING

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DOE Q Clearance at time of application - no clearance sponsorship available
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite at TA-55 in Los Alamos, NM
  • Must be available for all shifts including nights, weekends, and graveyard as required
  • Poor prior contractor performance at LANL is disqualifying
