Project Manager – Steel Erection / Ironwork

Direct Hire Opportunity with Superior Skilled Trades

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in steel erection, structural steel, ironwork, or related construction for a full-time direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

Manage structural steel/ironwork projects from preconstruction through completion.
Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and milestones.
Monitor project costs and proactively address potential overruns.
Coordinate with Preconstruction, Estimating, General Superintendents, field teams, vendors, and suppliers.
Identify and resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and project delays.
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to project team members.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Maintain clear communication with internal teams, customers, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

10–15 years of project management and/or steel erection/ironwork experience.
Strong background in structural steel, steel erection, ironwork, or commercial/industrial construction.
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, field operations, and teams.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to work closely with field personnel, superintendents, estimators, and vendors.
