Job Description

General Description

This position is responsible for the janitorial staff for office buildings and related areas, as well as, having primary duty for the housekeeping and property management of the support properties relating to the Mount Union organization. Quality services will be provided to the organization at all times. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and building exterior landscaping is essential. Must be able to work in a team oriented environment.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

Check in with staff at Bonney Forge to make sure daily responsibilities are being done
Responsible for meeting all needs of guests staying in the Bonney Forge guesthouse
- Transportation to and from locations
- Purchasing supplies for all guesthouses
Backup for any support staff
Duties at the Guesthouse, Cabin
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing of flooring.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Restock supplies in bathroom and kitchen.
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
- Dusting and cleaning furniture
- Cleaning windowsills and windows.
- Laundering of bedding, towels, etc. after each guest stay
- Ensure that all maintenance needs are met.
Responsible for organizing all visitor luncheons

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good client/customer service skills.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to work effectively with a team.
Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of MSDS's or willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.
6 months or more related experience (preferred).
Valid PA Driver's License required.
