Property Guest Services Assistant

The Position

As a part-time Property Guest Services Assistant in Burlington, Iowa, you help ensure each guest arrives to a clean, comfortable, and ready-to-use space that supports the Girl Scout mission. This onsite, entry-level role pays $14/hour and includes some evenings and weekends.Key responsibilities include:- Cleaning and resetting cabins, lodges, outdoor units, and restrooms after departures (sweep/mop, vacuum, sanitize fixtures, wipe surfaces, empty trash)- Restocking guest and cleaning supplies (paper goods, soap, liners, and related items)- Assisting the maintenance team with general upkeep and basic hospitality/customer service needsRequired qualifications/skills:- Housekeeping, hospitality, or facility maintenance experience preferred- High school diploma/equivalent or related experience/training- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent bending, standing, and walking- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance- Commitment to the Girl Scout mission; ability to become a registered Girl Scout memberIf you’re dependable, detail-focused, and ready to contribute, apply today.

A Typical Shift

You’ll start by reviewing the day’s turnover needs and prioritizing spaces based on upcoming arrivals. Much of your time is spent moving through cabins and shared areas with a checklist mindset—confirming rooms are guest-ready, supplies are in place, and details look consistent from space to space. Between resets, you may coordinate with teammates about any items that need attention, then pivot to quick support tasks that keep the property running smoothly. As guests arrive or questions come up, you help maintain a welcoming atmosphere while staying focused on readiness and cleanliness standards through the end of the shift.
