Job Description

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

We seek a dedicated Proposal Manager with strong skills in proposal writing, project coordination, and compliance management, with a special focus on international proposals. In this hands-on role, you will lead Saronic's proposal efforts for autonomous maritime projects - primarily targeting opportunities with international partners and allied nations - while uniting subject matter experts (SMEs) across disciplines to deliver cohesive, compliant, and compelling proposals.

This role is ideal for a driven professional with a passion for international collaboration, strong project management abilities, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in high-stakes environments. Join us in advancing the future of global defense autonomy!

Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development:

Oversee the entire proposal process from initiation through submission with international clients and allied and partner governments. Ensure all aspects comply with relevant national and international requirements and align with client objectives. Develop winning narratives by integrating technical, operational, and financial information into a cohesive and persuasive proposal.

  • SME Collaboration and Integration:

Proactively coordinate with subject matter experts across legal, engineering, finance, supply chain, and other critical functions, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to gather and synthesize input. Guide team members to work as an integrated unit on tight timelines.

  • Project Management:

Manage all phases of the proposal lifecycle, including schedules, deliverables, and deadlines. Anticipate and resolve issues promptly to maintain proposal quality and timeliness.

  • Strategic Proposal Planning:

Develop strategies that highlight Saronic's value proposition in the global defense landscape. Analyze bid requirements and competitor approaches, particularly in international markets, to refine proposal content and structure.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

Ensure all proposal documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with U.S. DoD as well as allied nation regulatory standards. Maintain meticulous records throughout the proposal process.

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship:

Lead and mentor a collaborative proposal team, fostering a high-performance culture. Equip team members with the tools and support needed to succeed in a dynamic, often cross-cultural, environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Professional Writing, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years in proposal management within the defense or technology sectors, with a strong track record of leading complex, compliant proposals for DoD and international proposals.

  • Familiarity with U.S. DoD and foreign military procurement processes, and experience working with allied and partner defense forces.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously, balancing competing priorities to meet all deadlines.

  • Proven experience integrating diverse input from cross-functional teams to craft coherent, high-quality proposals.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Highly organized, with an acute eye for detail to ensure accuracy and quality across all proposal elements.

  • Demonstrable skill in proposal management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing proposals for Other Transaction Authority (OTAs)

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Occasional standing and walking within the office.

  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.

  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.

  • Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages).
