Position Summary
The Provider Educator (Provider Training & Experience) plays a critical role within the WISeR Model team, responsible for designing, building, and scaling provider education and engagement programs supporting WISeR Providers and Suppliers participating in prior authorization and pre-payment review programs.
Reporting to senior program leadership, this role serves as the primary liaison between complex CMS/Medicare program requirements and provider communities. The ideal candidate is a strong educator, communicator, and content strategist with the ability to translate dense Medicare policy into clear, actionable guidance while building education programs from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive provider education strategy, including live and recorded webinars, written guides, quick-reference materials, and portal-based resources.
- Develop structured training curricula covering prior authorization workflows, documentation requirements, resubmission processes, peer-to-peer reviews, and the Exemption Program.
- Coordinate provider outreach in collaboration with designated MAC partners and internal communications teams.
- Create and manage a public-facing resource library including FAQs, step-by-step guides, decision flowcharts, and policy summaries.
- Track training completion, provider engagement, and non-affirmation trends to identify education gaps and develop targeted follow-up resources.
- Establish feedback mechanisms (surveys, inquiry analysis, call monitoring) to continuously improve content quality and education effectiveness.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in Medicare prior authorization, pre-payment review, or utilization management processes
- Proven ability to translate complex Medicare and CMS policies into clear, provider-friendly guidance
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering multi-format education programs (webinars, e-learning, written materials, live training)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse provider audiences
- Curriculum development and instructional design from scratch
- Experience using provider inquiry data, training metrics, and engagement trends to measure effectiveness and improve content
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives under tight timelines.
Required Experience
- 7+ years of experience in provider education, healthcare communications, training & development, or related roles within a healthcare or managed care environment
