  • Collaborate with residential staff to identify opportunities for patients to practice skills within the program environment.

  • Provide recommendations for environmental modifications or supports to enhance patient functioning and safety.

Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Care:

  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, and care planning discussions, as requested by the team.

  • Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, social work, and other clinical staff to ensure cohesive and coordinated care.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure all services are delivered in alignment with best practices, ethical standards, and safety protocols.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong interest in working with adult survivors of severe trauma and an ability to work sensitively with individuals experiencing post-traumatic and dissociative symptoms.

  • Capacity to modify interventions to meet the needs of this specific population and to adapt interventions to align with the global treatment approach of the residential program.

  • Ability to engage patients with diverse psychiatric presentations, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and thought disorders.

  • Ability to translate clinical concepts into practical, functional skill-building interventions.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility for licensure).

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a behavioral health, residential, or psychiatric setting preferred.
