Job Summary
LPT (Licensed Psych Tech) - Tehachapi, CA
Full-time, Contract (27 weeks, with the opportunity to extend)
Schedule:
PM (2pm- 1030pm), Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun, OR AM (6am- 230pm), Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues or Wed
Minimum 40 hours per week, paid weekly
Fixed shift and days, no rotating schedules
The Opportunity
This is a long-term contract that will renew if all goes well. You will work in a restricted area conducting 1-on-1 assessments for patients. Many will have mental health, behavioral or suicide ideation. The work will be challenging and rewarding.
Responsibilities
Provides care for patients with mental health, behavioral health issues and suicide watch
Conduct patient intake interviews, monitor patient behavior, evaluate medical needs, and administer medication
Takes direction from physicians and nurses regarding treatment plans and care
Communicates with patients and healthcare professionals
Experience/Qualifications
Licensed Psychiatric Tech (LPT) in California with a current license.
Minimum of 1 year of LPT experience.
Must be a flexible and adaptable worker
Comfortable working 1 on 1 with patients
Brings strong communication skills
Must be able to undergo and pass a background check and drug screen
Must have reliable transportation to work
