Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.

Overview of Unit/Department

Adult Psychiatric Units I and II provide care for adult patients (ages 18–50) experiencing acute mental health needs. Each unit includes 21 beds, divided into two wings: a 14-bed lower acuity wing and a 7-bed higher acuity wing, allowing for tailored, patient-centered care.

These units are built around a strong commitment to safety and creating a supportive, therapeutic environment that promotes healing and mental wellness. Staff play a vital role in fostering stability, trust, and recovery for patients during vulnerable moments in their lives.

Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates

  • $0.50 Certification pay (AAPT)
  • $0.50 BS pay (PSYCH)
  • Career Ladder up to $1
  • Night shift differential: $3

• Education:▪ Required: High School Diploma or equivalent▪ Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field• Experience:▪ Preferred: Previous experience with mental health or age specific population• Skills:▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills▪ Exhibits valuable time management skills▪ Strong analytical/problem solving skills.▪ Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.• Licensure/Certification/Registration:▪ Must obtain department specific certifications within the designated time frame
