Psychiatrist
Location: Oakland, CAPosition Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $300,000 – $400,000 per yearSchedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Role Overview
This role focuses on providing psychiatric care to individuals and families served by a community health clinic rooted in equity and access. As the Psychiatrist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions while working closely with interdisciplinary teams. Your daily work directly supports improved stability, access to care, and long-term outcomes for patients within the BIPOC community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
- Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions across the lifespan
- Develop and adjust treatment plans based on clinical progress
- Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and care coordinators
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Participate in case consultations and care planning meetings
- Support continuity of care through referrals and follow-ups
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Active or eligible California medical license
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Experience working in outpatient or community health settings preferred
