What You’ll Do

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical staff, social workers, and security teams to coordinate inmate care
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans tailored to inmate needs
• Perform routine rounds in segregation or confined housing areas to monitor inmate mental health and adjustment
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and effective treatment to inmates with mental health concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports to support ongoing mental health services
• Ensure compliance with all facility protocols and safety standards

What You NeedRequired

• Valid license or board eligibility to practice psychology
• Prior experience in mental health assessment and treatment, ideally within correctional or institutional settings
• BLS certification (or pending) meeting CoreCivic compliance requirements
• Ability to pass facility clearance with SS card and driver’s license

Preferred

• Experience working with inmate populations or in correctional facilities
• Strong teamwork, communication, and assessment skills
